The Costa Short Story Award
is run as part of the Costa Book Awards, one of the UK’s most prestigious and popular literary prizes. The award is for a single, previously unpublished short story of up to 4,000 words. In last year’s award the winner received prize money of £3,500. Entries open on 1 July and close on 2 August.
