Ó Bhéal Five Words International Poetry Competition

Each week on Tuesday, five words are posted on their competition page,

Entrants have one week to compose and submit poems that must include all five words.

A prize of €500 will be awarded to one winner, and he/she will be invited to read at their seventh anniversary event, on the 14th of April, 2014 (a travel fee of €100 plus B&B accommodation will be provided for this). The shortlisted poems and winning entry will also be published in Five Words Vol VII the next annual anthology of five word poems, launched at the same event.

Poems cannot exceed 50 lines in length (including line breaks), and must include all five words listed.

Deadline for entries: 12pm on Tuesday every week

Entry Fee: €5 per entry.
